Beschreibung Crossing the Cordillera Blanca - Huaraz - Pitec - Peru

Crossing the Cordillera Blanca, an extra ordinary adventure for sure. But if it is a way most likely nobody has ever down before it gets even better

There are many ways to cross the mountain range. This way is a dream of two brothers from england. They tried already two times but failed. This time they were well prepared and wanted to carry a canoe over the range as well. It seems to be the only way to get across the Laguna Maparaju, since there are steep walls on both sides.

Charly and Alex told us about their plan and we were hooked at once. What an adventure this will be. Camping at an old mine, glacier crossing, canoeing over a laguna, a possible rappel and much more.

Today, I sit at the Way Inn Lodge, put all the pictures together and jope, it was an extra ordinary adventure. Better than I could ever have dreamed of. The condor, the avelanche and the team made it for sure an unforgetable experience. Big thanks to Charlie and Alex, but also to Camilla and Paul.

Charlie and Alex might offer this tour in the future. Information at Good Mountain Guides: www.goodmountainguides.com
